Group: 1st Cowplain Age group: Scouts Activities/Support: Air rifle Help to find a location required: No Has their own equipment: Yes Medical and disabilities: No We have been asked to cover an Air rifle session due to leader illness, 14 Scouts from 1st Cowplain. The section meets at 1900 for 2 hours. All equipment is available at the HQ (1st Horndean, see below) and access time is being confirmed.
We have been asked to run an Archery session for 1st Homewell Beavers. The group size is 13, and activity time will be for a duration of 1 hour. Meeting times: Set up is booked from 09:00. The activity will start at 10:00 for 2 hours, then time to pack up and store equipment at the District centre. This event is available for all members of Active Support to attend, not just Archery Permit holders. As well as a minimum of 1 permit holder, we would like additional adults to offer 1:1 support. Hawk Active Support have the opportunity to run NRSA Youth Proficiency Scheme Tutor Course for Rifle Shooting and NRSA Youth Proficiency Scheme Tutor Course for Crossbow Shooting. These two-day courses cover everything needed for candidates to safely run have-a-go sessions in air rifle shooting or crossbow shooting for young people. Dates and locations are TBC, however, it will be held within Hawk District. We expect the cost per person will be in the region of £100, covering instructor, venue hire and NRSA costs. You will need to bring a packed lunch with you on both days, however hot and cold drinks will be supplied. There is a limit of 10 attendees and we are initially making this available to Active Support Members. However, if spaces remain, this will be made available to District Members.
