Crossbow session

Description

We’re excited to offer a range of fun, safe, and skill-building activity sessions for sections within Hawk District. These sessions are designed to give young people new experiences led by qualified instructors, while making booking simple for section leaders. Please read the details below carefully before making your booking.

How to Book

1. Select your preferred date and time.
2. Leave Qty as 1, then click “Book.”
3. Go to your Basket and select “Checkout.”
4. In the Additional Information box, please include:
   • Your Group Name
   • The Section (e.g. Cubs, Scouts)
   • Your Section size
   • Additional requirements our instructors need to know (Medical, impairment, etc)

Who Can Book

This activity is only available to sections within Hwak District.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept bookings from other Districts or County Units.

Available for:

Cubs, Scouts, Explorers & Adults

Sizes:

Each 2-hour session can accommodate up to 24 participants*.

What Your Section Needs to Provide

• An additional activity suitable for half your section
  (Weekday evenings only; both halls are used on weekends, but outdoor areas are available)
• Adults to meet your section’s required ratios
• Parent communication regarding the activity
• A Risk Assessment covering:
  • Drop-off and pick-up
  • Any additional activities
  • The areas your team will control

(The District team will complete the RA for the main activity itself.)

What Active Support / The District Provides

• Qualified instructors with the necessary Scout Association permits
• Venue hire and activity costs (reviewed regularly)

• On-road residential parking only.
• No parking in the HQ car park or by the garages for sections.

Booking Agreement

By booking, you agree to the following terms and will ensure your section team supports compliance:

• Maximum 30 participants for a 2-hour session
• Your group is responsible for section management and behaviour
• District & Active Support members reserve the right to stop a session if needed
• Failure to comply may affect your ability to book future sessions
• Follow all venue rules
• Inform the Active Support team if any participants do not have photo permissions
  (Photos may be taken for District advertising and publicity.)
• * Section sizes will vary; our instructors will give as many go’s as possible, some sections may get more and will be organizationally and behaviour dependent.
• Prompt arrival and departure will be encouraged to maximise the session(s) and Venue hire
• Adaptions/Medical requirements etc must be communicated prior to the session.
